Please note

After your arrival at Vienna please come to the Congress Centre. The registration counter will open on 1 pm. There you will get your conference documents and a ticket for public transport, valid all trough the congress days. Notice: Your luggage can be stored at the Congess Centre at the wardrobe

Accommodation

Most of the participants will stay overnight at the 'Jugendgästehaus Wien-Brigittenau' (youth hostel),
arrival see below.

Please read this information download (pdf).

You will sleep there in twin-bedded rooms or rooms with three, four or six beds (bunkbeds) either in rooms with wash-bassins and shared facilities or rooms with private facilties.

In some cases it could be that sleeping rooms may be used by people from several groups – maybe with different languages, which opens up new possibilities for encounters!

Som rooms are wheelchair accessible.

Breakfast will be served at the Jugendgästehaus.

If you want to stay longer in Vienna, please contact the Congress office. The costs will be for your own account.

If you want to park your own car please contact the Congess office with informationen about the height of your car.

If you there will be not enough places in Brigittenau your accomodation will be at another place (Hotel Academia, Pfeilgasse 3a, 1080 Wien, www.academiahotels.at). We will inform you in good time.

Meals

Breakfast will be taken in the accomodations.
Supper on the first day, on Wednesday, will be served at the Jugendgästehaus. There you will get a small lunchpackage on Friday afternoon, too.
Friday evening at the ball there will be a big buffet at the Kursalon Wien.
The other meals -- lunch at Thursday, Friday, Saturday; supper at Thursday; coffeebreaks in the morning -- will be served in the Congress Centre.
The whole event will be non-alcoholic.

Transfers

between the Congress Centre and the accomodation places will be provided by public transportation. All partcipants get a ticket for public transport, valid all trough the congress days. (Attention: to the airport you need an extra ticket). Ther is a very good network of railways, underground, tram and busses in Vienna.

Between Jugendgästehaus Brigittenau (stop ‚Leystraße‘ respectively. ‚Friedrich-Engels-Platz‘) and the Congress Centre we will take different busses/trams/metro-lines dependently from them daytime..

to the Kursalon Wien on Friday evening:
The Wiener Ball 'Dancing Congress' will take place at the 'Kursalon Wien' (former known as 'Kursalon Hübner').

After the excursions you will get a small lunch package at your accomodation (ca. 5 p.m.). And there you have time to dress yourself / pimp you up for the ball! After this you will ride by tram line 2 directly to the 'Kursalon Wien' (about 30 minutes).

The organisation of the journey is to be done by the participants themselves. And they have to pay the costs of the journey themselves.

A1 Westautobahn to the Steinhäusl junction, then on the A21-Außenringautobahn to the Brunn am Gebirge junction. From there you take the A2-Südautobahn in direction Vienna until you hit the A 23 Südosttangente, then drive in direction Prague, and turn onto the A22-Donauuferautobahn in direction Prague. Follow this road to the Floridsdorfer Brücke exit, and drive left over the bridge. The youth hostel is the first building on the right after the bridge. The entry to the parking garage is in the Forsthausgasse after house no. 83 c

from the South:
A2-Südautobahn, turn onto the A23-Südosttangente in direction Prague, then turn onto the A22-Donauuferautobahn in direction Prague, until you hit the Floridsdorfer Brücke exit. By plane

Vienna-Schwechat is a n international airport.
From the airport (platforms at the basement in front of the building) trains leave to Vienna every 30 minutes. Ticket: Euro 3,60 to all stops in the city of Vienna. Ticket machines you will find at the platforms.
