Vienna
Vienna is the capital city of Austria. Vienna is situated at the Danube river. About 1.7 million people live in Vienna.
Famous are: the Stephansdom (a gothic cathedral), the Hofburg (the castle in the centre of the city), castle Schönbrunn, the Vienna opera house and the Burgtheater (theatre), a lot of museums, and not to forget the famous Riesenrad at the Prater (big wheel at the funfair), the Fiaker (horse drawn cabs) and the Kaffeehäuser (coffee houses). But there are a lot of things more to be seen ore heard. In Vienna lived and worked many famous musicians, writers, painters and other artists.
In Austria the people speak German in a bit modificated form, Austrian German.
